Max's Guitar Maintenance
I'm now offering a light luthiery service in Greater London, maintaining and modifying guitars and basses. Please get in touch via email (maxganesh205@gmail.com) or via text (07389 077387) to arrange for your instrument to be sent to me, and to be worked on. At door drop offs and pick ups only. Prices will vary, depending on the amount of work needing to be done. The current services I offer are as listed below:
Instrument Setups
Such as truss rod and intonation adjustments, as well as nut slot filing. *Please specify if you'd like your existing strings to be reused or if you'd like new strings. If you'd like new strings, please supply them with the instrument.
Fretless Conversions
Removing the frets from the fingerboard, in order to create a smooth, mellow guitar or bass. My chosen method is to fill in the fret gaps with wood filler and then apply several layers of epoxy resin over the fingerboard, to create a smooth, but solid, gloss finish.
General Hardware Replacements
Such as the replacement of pickguards, control knobs, machine heads (tuners), string trees, bridges and saddles. *Please specify if you can supply the parts of if you wish for me to source them.
Fret Levelling
Levelling frets to make sure they're of the exact same height as each other, in order to prevent dead or choked notes.
Pickup & Electronic Replacements
The replacement of pickups, pots (potentiometers), output jacks and control switches. *Please specify if you can supply the parts of if you wish for me to source them.
